Lemony Damask

My Bridal Shower! I canNOT take any credit for the planning of my unique bridal shower considering it was a lovely surprise! My wonderful bridal party, mother and mother-in-law hosted this very special event for me, so the decor details was all in their hands...and it couldn't have been more perfect!

They hosted it at the magnificent Positano Coast in Olde City, Philadelphia. This chic Italian style restaurant is, of course, me and my husbands favorite romantic hot spot.

The theme was quite clear. What can I say...my girls know me all too well! They took 3 ideas they knew I loved...
1. My love for children
2. Damask print
3. Chocolate-Covered Strawberries

Then, their creative minds ran with these ideas to make my shower eloquently unique!

My love for children was the most special detail of all. Knowing how much I adore children, my sister contacted Alex's lemonade and made a donation in lieu of guest favors for all the children in need. That's where the lemons come in. That donation was so meaningful and I couldn't thank them enough for doing this!

Floating lemons lined the bottom of all the beautiful fresh floral arrangments, and yellow grosgrain ribbon accented the vases!

Favor: A brochure about Alex herself and how this Lemonade Stand came about, a lemon pin that all the guests wore to honor over 200,000 children worldwide that develop cancer each year, personalized with a cute shower tag and coordinating ribbon!

The invites were a classy black/white damask design with accented yellow ribbon to tie into the lemon theme, and the 3 wedding registry cards were tied together with a mini black satin ribbon. Even the bride gift was in coordinating damask print!
Love it!

And, well, I'm sure you know where the chocolate-covered strawberries tie into the theme!

A spectacular job well done by my creative girls!
